A 24 hours race at Spa Franchorchamps? Time to grab my camera and take a look then! And so I did. Spa is always a great place to take photo’s. It was cool to see the Blancpain Endurance series for the first time. A massive GT3 car grid heading into the biggest race of the year. From the spectator point of view it was challenging though. The first half of the race was constantly interrupted by massive crashes followed by long safetycar periods. Later in the evening the race was red flagged for over an hour after Marcus Mahy’s big crash. Let’s hope he makes a full recovery from what was a very serious incident indeed.
During the night things got dangerous for us as well on the roads around the track, completely in the dark with cars, quads, scooters etc. coming up through the crowds.It was challenging, but I still came home with some cool shots, so I hope you enjoy them!
